Most customers only know that AIRFREIGHT CARGO is charged by the KILOGRAM, They don’t now other addition calculation yet. Airlines in fact do charge by the kilogram and also by VOLUME, whichever happenes to be greatest.

How to quote the Volume :
To quote volume is (length X width X height) / 6.000

For example :
Standard carton box is : 50cm X 58 CM X 33CM = 95.700
95.700/ 6.000 = 15.95
the volume is : 15.95

If your goods is less than 15.95 kilogram in that carton box, you have to pay for 15.95 kilogram.
